Bob is a student, and so is Alice.
Bob is always frustrated every day, as he believes that students should not have to attend 14 hours of classes every day. But every time he complains to others, they always interrupt him and say,
"Can you change it? If you can't change it, just accept it. The fact is that it has always been this way."
Alice is never bothered by it. She believes that students should attend more classes. Or rather, everyone tells her that it should be this way, and it has always been this way.
As they grow up, Bob becomes a personal painter. Although his salary is unstable, he can paint whatever he wants, and no one will come and tell him that it has always been this way.
Alice becomes an engineer with a high salary. However, she has to comply with her boss's ABCDE Plan, even though she knows that the boss may be wrong.
One day, Bob asks Alice if she is happy. Alice replies,
"Of course."
From then on, Bob realizes that he and Alice have nothing more to say to each other.
